Genesis Galleries at Kings’ Shops and Queens’ MarketPlace will host paint night demonstrations by artist George Aldrette.

Aldrette is known for creating beauty on canvas with his works of Hawaii Island coastal scenes and upcountry trees. His favorite trees are royal poinciana and the purple flowering jacaranda.

Aldrette has painted landscapes along the California coast for more 40 years. While making a trip to Hawaii Island more than 25 years ago, he discovered the vast open land with amazing sky and characteristic trees. The island’s terrain and diverse landscape inspired his Big Island series.

Aldrette’s work has a permanent, exclusive home at Genesis Galleries. He will be at Genesis Galleries creating landscape and tree pieces and he will also be unveil a blue series depicting the Kaupulehu coastline.

Demonstrations will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday and Nov. 14 at the King’s Shops. Demonstrations at Queens’ MarketPlace will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Nov. 15 and 16.
